The Recruiter  is responsible for the  full life-cycle recruiting process from locating sources of talent to screening and scheduling interviews and working with Hiring Managers to extend competitive job offers as well as other necessary documentation.  Develops relationship with key stakeholders in all Scalo Companies and develops sourcing plans specific to each job opportunity within specific divisions to build a bench of diverse talent fro presenting to hiring managers.
  • Partner with hiring managers to review, analyze and clarify job specifications, leadership behaviors and skills required; understand business operations and develop recruiting strategies to fill staffing needs
  • Work closely with hiring managers to deliver hiring strategies targeted for each functional area
  • Lead initiates within the organization that help build a culture that attracts and retains top talent
  • Partner with Human Resources Director to ensure the execution of company wide policies and procedures pertaining to recruitment are followed and provide general assistance as needed in adherence to state and federal labor laws
  • Partner with HR and Learning and Development Directors in conducting training on lawful hiring practices to hiring managers
  • Using the Applicant Tracking System to post jobs and manage the workflow with hiring managers to ensure they receive and review all qualified candidates
  • Market and sell the Scalo Companies reputation, attributes and values to attract the top talent
  • Participate with external committees and organizations in area of recruitment establishing positive community outreach relantionships
  • Coordinate public presentations to schools, job fairs, trade shows, etc to market Scalo Companies's opportunities
  • Performs other duties as assigned.


Job Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Two to five years prior recruitment experience, preferably with knowledge of the construction industry
  • Prior experience with Applicant Tracking Software
  • Experience and understanding of state and federal labor laws related to recruitment
  • Ability to identify and secure sources of potential job candidates
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills
  • Experienced in MS Office Suite of tolls and ability to learn new software
  • Ability to work on computers and phones regularly in an office environment
  • Able to be flexible with schedule as some after-hours may be required
  • Ability to travel as needed to our Columbus Ohio office for recruiting and training efforts
