Job Summary:

HR Generalist is responsible for completing a variety of task to support the daily operations of the HR department.  Their duties include but are not limited to recruitment and the hiring/onboarding processes for company employees, engagement in performance management, and implementing, developing, and facilitating Learning and Development throughout the organization.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Involved in all aspects of the recruitment and hiring process:  posting job ads, sourcing of applicants, review applications, scheduling applicants, participating in interview, and recruiting events, processing pre-employment screenings, and gathering feedback as necessary
  • Actively participates in ongoing recruitment efforts, employment resources and job fair

  • Maintains the employee tracking system (Cyber Recruiter System) and retain records for required retention periods

  • Partners with managers to create onboarding plans and ensure all new hires setups are completed for the new hires and be the point of contact to answer any question for those new team members
  • Designing and implementing learning & development plans

  • Assist managers in assessing and identifying resources to meet employee/departmental training needs and support of employees to continuously develop their skills in their field of work

  • Facilitates or provides learning and development (including orientation) to Company employees as well as tracks learning and development using our Learning Management System

  • Assists Managers with annual employee performance review process.  Distributes and monitors employee performance evaluations and ensures they are done in a timely manner

  • Assists in adherence to human resources policies and procedures

  • Assists HR Director and CFO & EVP of Administration with projects and assignments as needed

  • Perform other duties as assigned

Job Qualifications:

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in either Human Resources or a business-related field required
  • 2-3 years of relevant work experience in various aspects of human resources (staffing, trainings, employee development, employee relations, etc.)

  • General knowledge of employment laws and practices.  Ability to comprehend, interpret, and apply the appropriate sections of applicable laws, guidelines, regulations, ordinances, and policies to include PA & OH state and Federal labor laws
  • Ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality, and follow up on projects and issues
  • Strong computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and Power Point

  • Familiarity with social networking tools and Internet research tools
  • Experience with HRIS data base and reporting application: HRMS Sage and Cyber Recruiting is a plus
  • Team-player who can also work well independently

  • Demonstrated flexibility and capability to multi-task in a fast-paced work environment

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both written and verbal), along with demonstrated ability to build positive professional relationships.

  • The compensation associated for this Full Time Position is as follows:
    Salary: $50,000 to $60,000 annually (commensurate with experience) plus Annual Profit Improvement Incentive Opportunities.
