Job Responsibilities:

Job Purpose:

To prepare material take-offs of multiple exterior wall cladding products including plate metal and metal composite material, high pressure laminate/phenolic, and fiber cement. Create cost estimates, prepare quotations, and present proposals to customers.


-Continually improve productivity, accuracy, product, and construction knowledge to expand the personal level of expertise.
-Provide accurate panel and material take-offs by reading and interpreting Architectural drawings for multiple exterior wall cladding products.
-Prepare neat, accurate, easy-to-follow quotation documents.
-Perform under tight bid schedule deadlines that often have last minute changes and project requirements, which may also require extra hours to meet these deadlines.
-Promptly returning calls, e-mails, and other correspondence that may originate from customers, architects, or vendors when required.
-Collaborate with other estimators and both design and production staff to establish best methods and means.
-Collaborate with independent sales representatives, installers, and architects.
-Present proposals to customers to include value engineered options and services to facilitate the sale.

Job Qualifications:

Job Qualifications:

-Must be able to read and interpret Architectural drawings, project specifications, and Addendums.
-Experience estimating exterior panels, glass or glazing, or similar building components is preferred but not required.
-A general understanding of construction practices, principles, methods, and techniques.
-The ability to problem-solve and make confident judgment decisions
-Must be PC competent and have specific experience using Excel, Outlook, and Word.
-Experience with on-screen take-off software, and/or Blue Beam, and CRM software is desired but not required.
-Experience with AutoCAD® is preferred but not required.
-Qualified candidates must be detail oriented, possess strong time management skills and be personable, capable of conversing with customers on both a personal and professional level.
-Occasional in-town and out of town travel is required to attend project meetings, customer meetings, and/or industry tradeshows.
