The Account Representative is responsible for ensuring client needs are met and understood. The duties include building strong customer relationships by ensuring clients are experiencing a positive client-company relationship. This role will work closely with the Vice President and General Manager of Roof Asset Management and Roof Inspector to onboard new clients, create and present semi-annual reports, and create and present roof inspection reports. 

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Building strong client relationships to maintain current business with exceptional customer service and communication
    • Communicating with clients to ensure that all their needs are understood and addressed
    • Collaborating with various internal departments to ensure that they fulfill all customer requests
    • Resolving complaints and keeping track of all processes that pertain to the client’s desires
    • Acting as the client’s representative at Burns and Scalo to ensure that their demands are met with a focus on improving the customer experience
    • Collecting and analyzing data concerning consumer behavior to understand changing needs
  • Support the addition of new clients
    • Add new customer locations into MasterKey software
  • Creates semi-annual reports that include budget pictures and strategies to help clients decide on their plans for repairs and reroofs
    • Scheduling meetings - Aligning meeting timing to our customer’s fiscal year
    • Sharing RAM’s value - Showing previous years’ work and dealing with savings from warranty claims, elongation of roof life, service calls, and cost of program vs. plan
  • Works with RAM inspector’s schedule to utilize inspection data to share results with clients
    • Inspection Meetings - 10-20 inspections per client meeting, prescribing necessary repairs identified in the inspection reports.
    • Manage Customer Warranties – Cross-referencing manufacturers’ warranties for each property to the prescribed repairs, when possible, instruct our customers to utilize their warranty
  • Controls customer data ensuring it is current and available through MasterKey
    • Customer Access - Ensure access is provided and controlled for each customer and property
    • Repair/service list maintenance - Upkeep of data is provided as service work, and repairs are completed
    • Grade and replacement date maintenance - Reestablish roof section grades and estimated replacement date based on service/repair work completed
    • Property List maintenance - Upkeep the property listing, ensuring it is accurate
  • Bid completion process
    • Sub-Contractor Bids - Sources bids to our subcontractor partners and coordinates with them to receive bids before our client’s due date
    • RAM Bids - Works with VP to price bids with RAM markup and submit them to our clients
    • Record-Keeping - Correctly files bid information from subcontractors and RAM clients
    • Bid Tracking – Follows up on bids without a decision from our client until a decision is received
  • Contract repair and contract work management
    • Pre-Work Meetings – Schedules and conducts pre-work meetings connecting the property manager and the subcontractor to coordinate work that will start
    • Work Progress Reports – For jobs longer than one week, communicate weekly work progress with the property manager
    • Work completion reports – Provide work completion reports to the property manager
  • Perform other duties as assigned

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Adept in Microsoft Excel – Able to manipulate imported data using pivot tables, and VLOOKUP’s to create graphs and charts
  • Problem-solving and critical thinking skills displaying the ability to find creative solutions to complex issues


Education and Experience:


  • Associates Degree from an accredited University or equivalent job experience
  • Prior experience working in sales, account management, or customer service
  • Previous office or business experience
  • Basic computer skills
  • English fluency
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record


    • Experience in the construction or roofing industry
